ELG Asset Management is a Chartered Wealth Management and Employee Benefits Consultancy based in the Brighton and Hove.

We specialise in investment and pensions management for Private and Corporate clients, working closely with our clients to help them understand complex financial matters and to deliver simple and effective solutions.

Our clients encompass a broad spectrum of professions and commercial backgrounds such as Media, Legal, Marine, Arts and Entertainment, and Technology.

We pride ourselves on forging long term relationships – built on trust, service delivery and a full understanding of our clients’ needs.

Our clients are spread across the UK, but predominantly located in London and the South East.

Chartered Status

ELG Asset Management has been granted the Chartered Financial Planners designation by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

This is the industry’s highest level for firms of financial planners. It confirms that we have satisfied rigorous qualification criteria by retaining highly-qualified staff who subscribe to the membership conditions of the CII.

It also involves a commitment to continuing professional development and adherence to an industry standard Code of Ethics. You can view this Code at www.cii.co.uk/code

Chartered firms must ensure staff members acquire and retain the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver the highest quality advice. They must also work in an ethical manner that places clients’ interests at the heart of the advice they give.

The CII is empowered by the Privy Council to award Chartered status, and the award is only made to proven professionals, with less than 5% of IFA firms qualifying for the designation. Chartered titles represent the industry benchmark of professional standing.

Here are some of the key people at ELG:

Founder/CEO

Jonathan Roberts

Founded ELG Asset Management in February 2009, after a number of years working in the City in collaboration with media focused accountancy firms. Jonathan has a comprehensive understanding of executive and corporate benefits, and investment management.

He has 30 years financial services experience and is a Chartered Financial Planner.

Director of Employee Benefits

Mark Williams

Mark joined ELG as Director of Employee Benefits after many years experience working for Aviva in their corporate division and more latterly as a Director of the employee benefits firm Capital Management Solutions.

Mark has significant knowledge in the employee benefits market and currently is using this to help companies with their pension auto-enrolment requirements. Mark regularly runs company seminars and workshops but is equally at home with more complex Business Planning and providing Director and Shareholder Protection.

Outside of ELG Mark is a keen tennis player and also enjoys the freedom of the road on his motorbike!

Director

Jim Ferris

Jim is a director of ELG Asset Management joining the company in September 2010. He has 25 years financial services experience and is a Chartered Financial Planner.

Jim spent the previous 6 years with Mercer Employee Benefits (a global employee benefits company) as a Senior Associate in their Wealth Management team providing bespoke advice to senior executives and designing corporate pension schemes.

Jim brings with him to ELG a wealth of experience having worked with some of the largest companies in the UK and in depth technical knowledge of the corporate pensions market.
